With Tesco since its establishment in Poland, where he supervises the organisation of the company both in terms of the implementation of a corporate order as well as development and promotional activities. A former member of boards of directors in a number of companies. Successfully conducted restructuring and reorganisation proceedings in state economic operators. A member of managing committee of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewisham Vice-president of the Polish Trade and Distribution Organisation.


 

Andrzej Wojciechowicz - CEO,
BOMI

In the retail industry since 1990. From 1996 as president of the Polish Association of Retail Trade, supervised the implementation of a purchasing centre for the Polish retail networks. Established a complex training programme in managing supermarket chains; works as a consultant for various trade enterprises. Until 2006 employed as Director of Franchising and Development, responsible for the franchising chain Leader Price. Most recently working as Director of Expansion Support in Tesco Poland.


 

Maria Andrzej Faliński - CEO,
Polish Trade and Distribution Organisation

As CEO since 2000. Formerly served as Head of the Bureau at the Polish Ministry of Defence and Head of the Department of Strategic Studies and Department of Integration with NATO at the Bureau of National Security. Also previously with the Foreign Investors Chamber of Industry and Commerce.


 

Cezary Banasiński, Ph.D. - former chairman of UOKiK
Office of Competition and Consumer Protection

Acted as Advisor to the Government Plenipotentiary for European Integration and Foreign Aid to the Polish government. In 1996 became Ministerial Advisor for European Integration and subsequently Advisor in the Bureau of Judicial Decisions for the Constitutional Tribunal. From 2000-2001 Deputy Secretary of State in the Committee for European Integration. From 2001 to 2007 acted as chairman of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.


 

Andrzej Mrugała - Head of Board of Directors,
KOMFORT Stores, Wema

With KOMFORT as Head of Board of Directors since April 2007, when it was acquired by Enterprise Investors. Previously for 5 years as Managing Director of EMPiK, where his duties involved developing the chain in Poland. For 10 years in different positions at IKEA, including as Store Manager in Janki. Head of Logistics for the Eastern Europe, Country Manager at Swedwood Polska.


 

Adam Moskała - Head of Trade,
Bakalland

His duties involve the sale of all brands of Bakalland. His experience, supported by impressive results in growing sales figures, profits and market share, was gathered, among others, in Nutricia Polska, where he acted as Head of Sales.

Under his direction, merger with Pfizer was completed. Previously CEO for Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia and the Czech Republic in BIC. Held the position of Head of Sales and Marketing for Poland, the Baltic Republics and Belarus in Bonduelle.


 

Pedro Martinho - Member of Management Board, Eurocash; CEO,
Eurocash Franchise

During the years 1994-2001 worked with Jeronimo Martins in various positions, including as Purchasing Manager. In 2002 in Oniway Portugal as Sales Manager and 2003 in ICA Ahold Baltics as Purchase and Merchandising Director or the countries of the Baltic region. From 2003 with Eurocash Inc. as Management Board Member and Commercial Director and from 2006 as Management Board Chairman of Eurocash Franchise, in which he heads a team of over 700 individuals dedicated to the development and management of franchise supermarkets Delikatesy Centrum, operating with Modern Franchise set of principles, which achieved the highest sale ratio per square meter in Poland.


 

Jerzy Szkwarek - CEO,
KOMFORT Stores

Since the early 1990s involved with various forms of FMCG. With KOMFORT since 2000, the retail market leader for carpeting and flooring needs. During the last seven years, held the positions of Operations Manager, Trade Director and Vice-president for the company. Since 2007 holds the post of CEO, his key responsibilities are development, direction and management of the company with the market strategy in mind for an enterprise of 130 stores in Poland and abroad. Responsible for the multi-channeled expansion of sales network by means of different forms of sale with the aim to increase the value of the company.


 

Krzysztof Gradecki - Head of Board of Directors,
EKO Holding

With 19 years of experience in the retail industry. Since 1995 as CEO of EKO, a chain of supermarkets in the South and West of Poland. Co-author of the success of the EKO retailing network and its growth on the Polish market. In 2007 the number of branches exceeded 200. Member of management boards in a number of Polish companies.


 

Halina Gogolewska - Purchasing Manager,
Grupa MPT

With many years of experience in purchasing, her experience attained in Jeronimo Martins Distribution, Żabka Poland and Carrefour. As Purchasing Manager of the Domestic Trade Agency Społem spearheaded the process that developed the structure and the basis for a trade centre.

Since 2001 as Manager of Administration and Network Development in Solar, with which he opened 35 shops, including 4 outlets and 15 franchised shops. For 8 years involved with Sunset Suits Men’s Fashion. Since 2008 as Board Member of the Polish Council of Shopping Centres. He is a partner of the consutling firm "Brave New Concept"


 

Mirosław Caputa - Group Category and Shop Development Manager,
Statoil

For over 5 years responsible for category management and development of a retailing concept in Statoil Poland. As part of his work, he cooperates with groups of individuals on a European level, dealing with various aspects of category management. Formerly acted as Marketing Director in the automotive industry. For over 4 years conducted market research, brand marketing and sales for the Żywiec Group.

Since 1998 in charge of the retailing network of jewellery boutiques YES. His duties involve sales, market growth and investments. Established the only franchising network of jewellery stores on the Polish market which unites over 75 boutiques by the end of 2008.

For 15 years a tradesman with experience in different positions and consequently specialising in various forms of sale (supermarkets, hypermarkets, discounts, etc.). Since July 2000 as Purchasing Manager for Biedronka retail chain.


 

Tomasz Cisek - Head of Internet Communities,
EMPiK

From October 2006 to December 2008 responsible for the online version of EMPiK store. Presently in charge of other online ventures of EMPiK. Involved with the online business since 2001. Co-author of the first online profile of internet users “Real profile”. During the years 2002 to 2005 served as Member of Management Board of IAB Poland, an innovator and Managing Director of the first IAB Forum. Co-author of the success of the largest internet advertising network Ad.net and Managing Director of Sabela Media Poland. Since 2004 acted as CEO of Interactive Marketing Partner Poland.


 

Michał Miszkiewicz - Head of Internet Store Zadowolenie.pl (MIX-electronics)


Internet enthusiast, co-founder of comparison shopping engine Okazje.info.pl and other thematic services. For 2 years with MIX-electronics, where his duties involve looking after the corporate image on the internet and development of online sale channels. Authored the strategy for Zadowolenie.pl. Since February in a managerial position.


 

Robert Sołkiewicz - Management Representative for Online Strategy and Development,
Kolporter

With Kolporter since 1993, initially as a programmer, then as an analysis and project manager. Held the position of Management Representative for IT project implementation for Kolporter and Management Representative for IT development of the Capital Group. Since 2004 has been in charge of introducing Kolporter online. Presently responsible for the strategy and development of the online service kolporter.pl and all related projects.

With experience as Marketing Director in a retail chain and as lecturer of in merchandising and customer service. Authored many press articles on the retail industry and marketing. Translator of Paco Underhill’s best selling "Why We Buy: the Science of Shopping".


 

Piotr Sznigirewicz – Head of the Bureau of Non-fuel Commodities and Category Management,
PKN ORLEN

Responsible for sales in Orlen and Bliska chain stores, as well as supervise the purchasing, logistic, category management, promotions and trade marketing. With 13 years of experience in convenience retail, previously as a senior category manager responsible for purchasing and sales in Shell retail chain. He gained the initial experience in the Pepsico, then for over 4 years worked as Shop Supply Manager in Esso Poland. He was responsible for development of the Stop Cafe brand.

Zebra and Duhan

Since 1996 has been systematically developing Zebra footwear retailing chain. As manager for Duhan - sole distributor of Azaleia footwear in Poland.


 

Paweł Chodakowski-Malkiewicz - CEO,

Since 1993 dealing with the sale of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) on the traditional market. Shareholder and founder of Interchem, a leading distributor of FMCG (household chemicals, personal hygiene products and cosmetics) on the Polish market. Shareholder and founder of Aster Pharmacies, presently with over 64 own outlets in Northern and Central Poland. CEO of Interchem and Aster Pharmacies.

Head of the School of Business at the Warsaw Polytechnic and founder of Independent Center for Economic Studies (NOBE). Specialising in the economics of transition and the European integration of Central and Eastern European countries. Former economic advisor to the President of Poland. Chief Economic Advisor of PricewaterhouseCoopers Poland.


 

Tomasz Domański, Prof. - University of Łódź


Head of the Department of Marketing and Distribution at the University of Łódź as well as Polish-French MBA management studies. Specialising since 1978 in the analysis of distribution systems and modern ways of conducting business. Author of many publication on different forms of integration in market channels, franchising and brand development strategies of trade enterprises.


 

Grzegorz Gacek - European Sales Director,
SabMiller Europe AG

With 12 years’ experience in managing sales. Successfully implemented new distribution systems and introduced fresh approaches to the market both in the traditional and modern trade, at PepsiCo and Danone-LU. Since 2006 involved with SabMiller where he is responsible for the development of marketing strategies for the whole of Europe. A graduate of the Academy of Economics in Krakow, Ecole de Menagement in Lyon and IESE Business School in Madrid.


 

Wojciech Normand - Vice-president,
DEICHMANN-Obuwie

He was one of the founder and partner of the Law Firm "Consultor". He specialises in the civil and fiscal law as well in the strategic negotiations. 2004 he joined Deichmann, where he was named the Company Lawyer. Since 2007 he is in the position of the senior vice president, responsible for the development of chain of DEICHMANN’s stores within Central-Eastern Europe. Mr. Normand is on the Board of Deichmann Avalyne UAB, Lithuanian company, belonging to the DEICHMANN Groupe.


 

Krzysztof Tokarz - CEO,
Specjał

Founder of SPECJAŁ, presently one of the largest distribution networks in Poland. CEO of franchising network PSH NASZ SKLEP, with over 1100 outlets. Part of the SPECJAŁ group of companies are two security guard agencies and two wholesale stores of pharmaceuticals in Rzeszów and Katowice with a network of medical shops. Founder of Polish Trade Networks: PSH Unia (”Union“) and PSH Handel Polski (”Polish Trade“), head of Subcarpathian branch of POPON.


 

Roman Roszyk - Head of Marketing,
Żabka Polska

With many years of experience in finances and controlling, category management and trade marketing. As Head of Marketing since 2009. His duties involve planning and implementation of marketing strategies at retail chains Żabka and Fresh Market.


 

Wojciech Filipczyk - CEO and Director-General,
Polbita

In charge of Polbita, the operator of retail chain Drogerie Natura (”Nature Pharmacies”). Previously acted as Director of Finance and Member of Board of Directors in Nationwide, Amplico AIG Life, United Biscuits, R.J.Reynolds Tobacco, in which he focused on improving the operations and flow of information and procedures.


 

Renata Juszkiewicz - Regional Manager for Metro AG in Poland


For 7 years dealing with many international trade organisations investing in the countries of EU and Central and Eastern Europe. Responsible for the corporate image of the METRO group (Real, Makro Cash & Carry, Media Markt i Saturn) and Public Affairs. A member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).


 

Jan Hanussek - Managing Director,
Strategix Enterprise Technology

Began his career in the IT sector of sea-shipping and telecomunications companies. In 1995 joined Intactix International Ltd. In 2001 established Strategix Enterprise Technology GmbH, which acted as a sole distributor of the products of JDA Software Inc for the Central and Eastern Europe. Stategix implements the best SAP and and other ERP class solutions. His company has offices in Dusseldorft, Poznań, Budaapest and Moscow.


 

Wojciech Kruszewski - CEO,

In the years 1993 to 1997 as owners of a trade enterprise, which later became part of joint stock company Lewiatan Kujawy, later known as DLS Ltd. From 1999 to 2004 acted as Management Board Chairman then until 2005 as Head of board of supervisors for DLS. From 2005 as management board chairman for ZKiP Lewiatan ’94 Holding Plc.


 

Elżbieta Dmowska-Mędrzycka - Member of Management Board,
Trade Centers Polish Council

Owner of Mediadem Communication agency, specialising in conducting trade and development related activities in Poland, including image concepts and marketing strategies. In charge of the strategies of networks from both the food (e.g. Piotr i Paweł) and non-food sector (RTVEuroAGD). For the last few years she has been involved with projects for many shopping centres in Poland (e.g. Arkadia, Warszawa Wileńska).

Polish Supermarkets Group

Founder of the Polish Supermarkets Group, since 1990 on the FMCG market, whose branch count exceeded 150 outlets. Chairman and co-owner of Ertom Trade, formerly an import and distribution company for FMCG products and currently a retail network. During the 1990s introduced and distributed Dr Oetker’s franchise on the Polish market, then acted as Chairman for Henkel und Sohnlein. Formerly with PEWEX.

After working as a legal expert for several Italian associations, Mr Pellegrino became adviser on Internal Market, Consumer and Fiscal Affairs for EuroCommerce, the international trade representation for retail, wholesale and international trade in Europe. The Committees he has charge of deal with issues of competition, consumer protection, the internal market, VAT and other legislation on taxation.

Costs

Conditions of participation::

  • The costs of participation of one person in the Congress amounts:
    The price: 4495 PLN + 22% VAT at the registration before May 8th of 2009.
    The price: 4995 PLN + 22% VAT at the registration after May 8th of 2009.
  • The price includes lectures, congress materials, coffee breaks, lunch at the evening party.
  • Sending of the filled and signed order form to Blue Business Media by fax or e-mail shall constitute conclusion of the binding agreement between the ordering party and Blue Business Media. The pro forma invoice is usually issued and sent by fax upon obtaining the order from.
  • We kindly ask for making payment within the period of 14 days upon sending the order from but not later than before commencement of the Congress.

  • The resignation from participation shall be sent by registered letter on the address of the organizer.
  • In case of resignation until May 8th of 2009 we will charge you with the administration fee in the amount of 450 PLN + 22% .
  • In case of resignation after May 8th of 2009, 100% of the fee for participation shall be collected.
  • Failure to cancel an order and to participate in the Congress shall cause charging with full costs of participation.
  • Default in payment shall not be unambiguous with resignation from the participation.
  • Another employee of the company may take part in theCongress instead of the enrolled person.
  • The organizer reserves itself the right to make changes in the program and to cancel the Congress.
